Normally, a Philippine passport-holder would need to apply for a visa at the Turkish embassy in Manila the usual way: fill out an application form, provide required documents, personally apply at the embassy, and wait for a few days/weeks for release. The good news is, provided you meet the requirements below, you can actually obtain your visa online through https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ almost instantly, and just for US$20! Here is the checklist that you need to comply with before you can proceed with your application:
- My passport covers the period that I will be staying in Turkey.
- I can prove that I hold a return ticket, hotel reservation and at least 50 $ per each day of my stay.
- I am travelling for the purposes of tourism or business.
- I hold a valid supporting document (Schengen visa or a valid visa from any of the OECD member countries; or a valid residence permit of a Schengen or OECD country). e-Visas are not accepted as a supporting document.
OECD member countries include Australia, UK, US, Japan, Korea, Most EU countries, and Canada. To view full list, click here.
I got a single entry visa good for a 30-day stay, valid for 6 months from my chosen date. Super quick and hassle-free!
